Police forces are government organizations charged with the responsibility of preserving law and order and safeguarding the life and interests of the general public from harm. An instance in which a police officer requests for or accepts a bribe is also termed as misconduct.
Police officers are law enforcers. An activity of misconduct carried out by police officers tarnishes the reputation of the entire force. Adequate care should be taken to limit the occurrence of such instances in order to maintain a reputation in the eyes of the public.
